What do i do does he like me? GUYS AND GIRLS HELPP PLEASE?

Ok so me and my bf went on out first date together today and we went to the mall and ate then seen a movie and thru the movie he was being a little strange at times and he didn't seem that happy and then at other times he seemed really happy and in to it well we didn't kiss or anything, before the movie started he was picking on me and playing with my knee trying to tickle me and then he tried to put his arm around me but I didn't let him after that is when I grabbed his hand and then we watched the movie and he took me home and the whole ride home was like silence cause I didn't know what to say :( he tried to get me to talk but it was my first time seeing him so I was shy and then when he got me home I got out and went inside no kiss or anything witch was fine for me I really liked that he didn't force anything but then I text him and said sorry for being awkward I was just a little shy and he was like I'm sorry I can't do this anymore my heart is with someone else this was a mistake I'm so sorry this should of never happened your a really amazing girl and I like you but my heart is with someone else and I lost her. so I was like ok are we done or are we gunna work on this and he never answered so please help I'm so confused I really like this guy idk he didn't try to do anything with me so its not like he just wanted in my pants and he says he likes me but idk and now he wanted me to accept his relationship status on facebook and it says me and him are in a relationship and is complicated so I guess we are still together :( idk someone help me please
